Fellow gen-x’ers, back in the 80′s, if you happened to listen to the cassette tape album by Men at Work called ‘Business As Usual’, hopefully you didn’t apply the typical teenaged treatment to it– that is, to listen only to the popular songs, over and over (play rewind, play rewind), while never hearing the rest of the album. Today we’re all grown up, and of course we think more about our time and monetary investments (my assumption). So, one might force one’s self to listen to a whole album just to squeeze the money’s worth out of it. What I am here to tell you is: if you’re going to listen to Business As Usual, listen to the whole damn thing– for the opportunity cost! Because, it’s really good! If you are adventurous enough to do so, you will eventually find yourself listening to the very last track on the album called “Down by the Sea” and, what a gem that track is! Of course, you could always listen to “Down by the Sea” right now! Just play the Youtube clip embedded below. Oh, and one more thing Colin Hay, the heartbeat of Men at Work, is still productive as ever! Check him out on Facebook, give him a like.
